Navigating Mental Health

A panel discussion about various techniques that educators and professionals can use in the classroom to navigate mental health. Emerald Garner, daughter of Eric Garner, who died after being choked by a NYC police officer, is one of our guest speakers and she will talk about how her non-profit, “We Can’t Breathe” services the community through mental health programs.

Cipha Sounds, radio DJ and comedian, is a guest speaker who wants to share how laughing and comedy have been therapeutic. Tyson Hall, who is known for several acting roles, works with schools using artwork as an outlet for mental health. All students and faculty members curious about navigating mental health challenges should attend.
