“Pianoformances at Tanger” with Jeffrey Biegel

During the Spring 2025 semester, acclaimed pianist and faculty member Jeffrey Biegel will bring music for the piano to the wider college community by sharing performances and hosting Q&As about selected pieces of music.

The first event on January 28 will include music by Johann Sebastian Bach and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, employing improvisatory embellishments in the style of each composer’s music akin to performance practice during their lifetimes. These performances will give the audiences, and Biegel himself, a spontaneous and fresh outlook on the world’s most important musical artists.
