As a business management major, you may choose from five minors, including marketing. You will learn basic marketing concepts such as how to promote products, communicate effectively, conduct marketing research, and apply these marketing principles to business needs.
Declaring a minor allows you to explore other areas of interest and make interdisciplinary connections, and minors complement your study of business management. By declaring a minor, you can set yourself apart as a candidate for job opportunities in business administration and marketing across industries. Many businesses rely on marketing methods to grow their brands and create successful advertising campaigns geared to the right audience. With a minor in marketing, you can become a marketing coordinator/assistant, and this program even complements a career in copywriting or graphic design.
The program information listed here reflects the approved curriculum for the 2024–25 academic year per the Brooklyn College Bulletin. Bulletins from past academic years can be found here.
