With a minor in comparative literature, you will get to engage with literary works across languages, borders, and historical periods, exploring the traditions and innovations of the literatures of the world. From novels to poetry, drama to film, monuments to political protest, comics to audio, urban space to visual culture, you’ll be introduced to texts and cultures in the broadest sense.
There are few jobs in life for which being a good writer and critical thinker won’t be a big plus. You can work in medicine, law, journalism, publishing, advertising, public service, social work, community organizing, teaching, and fundraising, among others. Our graduates find success in a wide range of careers and in the nation’s top graduate programs.
