By declaring a minor in television and radio, you’ll obtain a strong foundation in some of today’s most sought-after skills. You’ll receive hands-on experience in front of a microphone, behind the camera, and inside virtual worlds. This minor offers access to a multicam television streaming studio, radio lab, VR/multimedia lab, and podcast studios.
Declaring a minor allows you to explore other areas of interest and make interdisciplinary connections. A minor in television and radio allows you to set yourself apart as a candidate for job opportunities in a variety of professions in the media, arts and culture, and education as well as in professions requiring strong storytelling skills and a familiarity with professional-grade equipment.
