When you major in television and radio, you will write, direct, produce, and create content for traditional forms of these platforms as well as streaming, podcasting, virtual reality, and multimedia. You’ll learn how and why media industries work the way they do and how media representations operate, and you will explore the ways in which you can make your own interventions in these cultural forms. Our students graduate with a portfolio of sample work, and many also work internships at major media companies in New York City.
A degree in television and radio prepares you to be a producer, writer, director, camera operator, editor, radio station manager, radio personality, podcaster, social media manager, public relations or advertising professional, or virtual reality or video game producer, and work in a variety of communication-related fields.
