Course Offerings for Classics Majors

The Classics Department pledges to offer these courses across numerous scheduling grids on a variety of days, in order to better serve our students and allow them to maintain academic momentum toward graduation.

Every Fall Semester

  • GRKC 2001, GRKC 3011, one course from the GRKC 4000 level
  • LATN 2101, LATN 3111, one course from the LATN 4000 level
  • At least one of the following: CLAS 1110, 2104, 3209, 3245
  • At least one of the following: CLAS 2109, 3200
  • CLAS 3210
  • One course from the following list: CLAS 4010, 4011, 4012, 4020, 4030, 4031, 4032, 4033 (course selection determined by faculty availability and student need)

Every Spring Semester

  • GRKC 2002, GRKC 3012, one course from the GRKC 4000 level
  • LATN 2102, LATN 3112, one course from the LATN 4000 level
  • At least one of the following: CLAS 1110, 2104, 3209, 3245
  • At least one of the following: CLAS 2109, 3200
  • CLAS 3210
  • One course from the following list: CLAS 4010, 4011, 4012, 4020, 4030, 4031, 4032, 4033 (course selection determined by faculty availability and student need)

At least once every two years, Classics will offer courses from the following list:

  • CLAS 3220, 3221, 3224, 3237, 3238, 3241, 3244, 3246, 3301, 3302, 3303, 3304

At least once every three years, Classics will offer courses from the following list:

  • CLAS 2113, 2114, 2117, 3035, 3100, 3101, 3113, 3211, 3222, 3223, 3230, 3231, 3232, 3233, 3234, 3235, 3236, 3239, 3240

Offered by the department as needed for students to maintain academic momentum:

  • CLAS 1213, 3212, 4040, 5000, 5100, 5200
