At Brooklyn College, we want you to succeed. That’s why we offer a range of services aimed at helping you adjust and excel.
The library serves as the intellectual and creative center of academic life at the college. Visit the library—in person or online—to find books and articles, ask reference questions, listen to music, and examine archival manuscripts. Students can bring their own computer and log in to the wireless network or use one of our three computer labs, including the Library Café, which is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and features Starbucks coffee.
Textbook ordering is done entirely online at the Brooklyn College Online Bookstore. The bookstore offers students an efficient, personalized shopping experience. All courses, required materials, and pricing options are displayed in one easy-to-navigate page.
Whether you make an appointment or walk in, the advisers in the Center for Academic Advisement and Student Success (CAASS) will assist you with issues related to your educational planning, including first-year and transfer-student advisement, educational foundation advisement, and guidance on the Core Curriculum.
The Center for Student Disability Services is responsible for ensuring the successful integration of students with disabilities into the Brooklyn College community and for determining what constitutes appropriate, reasonable accommodations. Services for students with disabilities registered in the program include preadmission interviews, priority registration, individual counseling, auxiliary aids (readers, writers, laboratory assistants), individual testing accommodations and arrangements, advocacy, and direct liaison with offices that provide college services.
This remedial program helps students with writing, speech, mathematics, and more. For more information, call 718.951.5738 or visit 2208 Boylan Hall.
