Dedicated Career Coaches

Our career coaches are devoted to helping you meet your career goals and leave a lasting impact. We provide students with the resources necessary to develop a standout résumé, secure an internship, prepare for an interview, and find the right career. We also offer networking events to connect students with established alumni and recruiting events to meet employers from myriad industries. We partner with staff, faculty, alumni, and employers to promote internships, jobs, and programs to meet professional needs of students.

We work closely with the five schools to create tailored events, resources, and services designed to prepare students for successful careers. Along with a dedicated career coach for each school, there are coaches who work with students unsure of a career path.

The Magner Career Center is supported by 15 to 20 student staff who are a vital part of the Magner Career Center. They help us welcome students,  staff, faculty and employers to the office; represent the office at campus events; and help with marketing our services and events.  We focus on their career development by providing experience in public speaking, event hosting, social media, website editing, employer outreach, and much more. Our student staff makes up two-third of the office, and their role is as important as any of the other roles in the office. If you come to our reception or events you are likely greeted by a current Brooklyn College student who works in our office.
