Archives for centuries were cities of records and erasure. It is one thing to acknowledge what is lacking, it is another to turn it into a visible record, an archive of a moment. Films: A Trans with a Movie Camera, Frances Arpaia (she/her) queer trans woman, Brooklyn Presentation: Jennifer Cazenave (she/her) will discuss her book titled, An Archive of the Catastrophe: The Unused Footage of Claude Lanzmann’s Shoah Moderator: Prof. Dijana Jelača (she/her), faculty member of the Film Department at Brooklyn College and author of Dislocated Screen Memory: Narrating Trauma in Post-Yugoslav Cinema (Palgrave, 2016) and co-author of Film Feminisms: A Global Introduction (Routledge, 2019).
