Constantin Cranganu Professor Constantin Cranganu was selected for a 2018–19 Fulbright U.S. Scholar grant by the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board under the guidance of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. He will spend the next academic year at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University in Iasi, Romania, doing research and academic teaching. For Cranganu, the current Fulbright Award is a remarkable achievement: In 1993, he came to the University of Oklahoma as the first Fulbright winner in post-communist Romania. Now, after 25 years, he will return to Romania as an American Fulbrighter, with a strong determination to fulfill the mission of the cultural representative of the United States in Romania, aiming to spread the knowledge and understanding between the two countries.
