Abstract: Molecular Dynamics (MD) has become a ubiquitous and powerful tool for understanding the structure and dynamics of systems ranging through all the phases of matter from the simple to the complex. A personalized view of the development of MD over the past five decades will be presented with examples ranging from simple liquids, small and large-scale hydrophobicity through proteins and protein-ligand binding.
