The Hitchcock Institute for Studies in American Music will host a two-day symposium celebrating Tania León‘s 2021 Pulitzer Prize win for “Stride” and her recent retirement from Brooklyn College and the CUNY Graduate Center. The events, sponsored by the Baisley Powell Elebash Fund, will include a screening of archival footage of Leon at work, panels featuring her colleagues and former students, as well as performances of her pieces.
