Black Graduation Commencement Ceremony

This collaborative graduation event brings together eight different student, staff, and faculty groups to host the annual Black graduation event focused on the theme of resilience.

Not only will  2023 graduates be recognized, but all those who committed to academic excellence throughout the pandemic. Students will walk across the stage to be recognized before family and friends, their salutatorian, keynote speaker Kevin Lamonte Jones (alumnus and 2017 Valedictorian), local officials, and artists. This event is open to the public and family and friends are encouraged to join in the festivities.
