With a minor in community health education you will gain the perspective and understanding needed to effectively working with communities to improve health. You can choose from a range of health courses, including those in health communication, health policy, and program planning.
Declaring a minor allows you to explore other areas of interest and make interdisciplinary connections. With a background and training in community health education, you can set yourself apart as a candidate in professions such as healthcare services, education, community nutrition settings, food service, research, corporate wellness, nutrition therapy, and many more.

The community health education minor provides students with foundational knowledge and applicable skills in the field. With courses in health communication, health policy, and program planning, students gain the perspective and understanding needed to be effective working with communities to improve health.
