Dustin Chang is the equipment manager at Brooklyn College’s Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema, located at Steiner Studios. There are a handful of in-person, hybrid classes this semester in addition to an active equipment room where sanitized technology will be available. The Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema is home to more hybrid classes than any other at the college. In anticipation of the start of the fall 2020 semester, staff prepared computer labs for social distancing. Office of Facilities team member Christopher sanitizes elevator buttons multiple times a day. Carrie Sadovnik, COVID-19 Response Team Chair and Director of Environmental Health and Safety, testing air quality. She has been instrumental in preparing the campus for re-entry. Julissa Lora, Environmental Health and Safety Sustainability Coordinator, and Victor Buzin, EHS Coordinator, sort through boxes of newly printed signage. These signs were installed on walls, floors, hallways, elevators, and gates in preparation for re-entry. New signage, advising campus visitors of COVID best practices, was placed across buildings and hallways recently. Jerome was spotted with installing the Coronavirus basics chart: Stay Home; Keep Socially Distant; Wear a Mask; Keep Your Hands Clean. John D. Accordo is an essential worker who is based on the Chiller Plant. His work has been invaluable during the pandemic.
