Dear Alumni and Friends,

I hope this finds you well as we approach these last few weeks of a challenging year. Brooklyn College remains as busy as ever, and we are proud that we have kept our campus community as safe as possible during this pandemic while students continue with their studies remotely.

This issue of the magazine is about resilience and those who have achieved success and fulfilled their dreams and potential in the face of the most significant obstacles. From long-time faculty members who learned how to teach online literally overnight to aspiring filmmakers who are given Hollywood access through our programs, we are proud that Brooklyn College continues to be a place that opens up new opportunities for us all.

As we enter into the holiday season of gratitude and giving, we realize every one of you has been affected by the pandemic during 2020, and our thoughts are with you. Our priorities right now are to help keep our campus safe and to keep our students—many of whom are facing their own struggles during this challenging time—on track to graduation with the support and resources they need from us.

Contributions to our year-end campaign help us to meet critical needs like emergency grants for students faced with unexpected challenges during their academic careers. They allow students to meet their goals so they, too, can become members of this awe-inspiring Brooklyn College alumni family. Thank you for considering Brooklyn College in your year-end giving plans.

We wish you a happy and healthy holiday season filled with peace and joy. Cheers to 2021!

Michelle
