The Master of Science in business administration at Brooklyn College provides students with the knowledge and skills to successfully pursue a wide range of careers in management, marketing, business analytics, international business, economic analysis, and producing in cinematic arts. Options 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 of the program can be completed fully online.
All applicants must have undergraduate courses in macroeconomics, microeconomics, statistics, and calculus.
Note that Option 3: Accounting is open only to students who have taken Accounting 2001, 3001, 3011, 3021, and 3101 (introductory accounting, managerial accounting, financial accounting, and income taxation) or the equivalent.
Applicants to Option 7 are not required to have taken macroeconomics, microeconomics, statistics, and calculus.
Students must complete at least 24 credits in courses offered by the Accounting, Business Management, Economics, or Finance departments. Consistent with college policy, transfer credits for graduate courses taken at other institutions may be accepted for some of these courses at the discretion of the chair or deputy chair.

Required: 15 credits (5 courses): Economics 7000X, 7010X, 7020X, 7021X, and 7025X.
Major-specific requirement: 18 credits (six courses) from the following: Economics 7215X or Finance 7215X, Finance 7216X, Economics 7230X or Business 7230X, Economics 7309X, Economics 7027X, Economics 7028X, Economics 7030X, Economics 7040X, Economics 7045X, Economics 7050X, Economics 7055X, Economics 7060X or Health and Nutrition Sciences 7144X, Economics 7090X, Economics 7091G, and Economics 7095G.
Substitutions: With the permission of the chair or graduate deputy chair, students may be allowed to take up to six credits of other courses to complete the 18-credit major specific requirement: Students who have taken Mathematics 2101 or equivalent may, with permission of the graduate deputy, waive Economics 7025X and substitute an appropriate course in Economics or another department. Students who have taken Mathematics 2501 or 3501 or equivalent may, with permission of the graduate deputy, waive Economics 7020X and substitute an appropriate course in Economics or another department. Students that have taken Finance 7215X may not register for Economics 7215X.
