Program Overview

When you declare a minor in criminal justice, you will develop a basic understanding of the criminal justice system as well as an appreciation of criminal justice as a social science. You’ll take courses from a variety of departments and disciplines, including sociology, political science, anthropology, psychology, and philosophy.

Where You'll Go

Declaring a minor allows you to explore interests outside of your major and make interdisciplinary connections. With a minor in criminal justice, you can set yourself apart as a candidate for positions such as a paralegal, forensic psychologist, criminal profiler, youth correctional counselor, and intelligence analyst, among others.
