By declaring a minor in German, you will get to explore your interest in German language, history, and culture through a variety of courses covering both Germany and the German-speaking world.
With fluency in another language—and the cultural connections that are inextricably linked to it—you will not only travel the world with more confidence, you’ll also become a very desirable candidate for a variety of careers, and especially those in international affairs, business, government, or teaching. Minoring in German will open the doors of employment at companies throughout the world and particularly those based in Germany and where German is a working language.

A minimum of 12 credits in advanced courses in German 2021 and above.
