Program Overview

By declaring a minor in Judaic studies, you’ll get to explore your interest in the Jewish experience through a variety of courses covering the full history of Jewish civilization. Courses in Hebrew and Yiddish, as well as in translation, promote access to a wide spectrum of Jewish literature. We also offer courses that will advance your understanding of the vast and complex Jewish communities and diasporas residing in Brooklyn.

Where You'll Go

Declaring a minor allows you to make interdisciplinary connections and expand your academic studies beyond your major. A minor in Judaic studies will set you apart in a number of professions, including education, social work, chaplaincy, diplomacy, and interfaith coordination.

Minor Requirements (12 Credits)

Twelve credits of advanced courses in Judaic studies. Each course must be approved by the department chair and completed at Brooklyn College with a grade of C or higher.
