As a political science minor, you will learn how to engage with politics and power at all levels and become the kind of critical thinker and active citizen that will prepare you for a career in public life. You can choose from courses in classical theory, contemporary policy, international organizations, and grassroots movements.
Declaring a minor allows you to explore other areas of interest and make interdisciplinary connections, and minors complement your major. By declaring a minor, you will develop research, writing, and reading skills that are crucial to all professions. A minor also helps you set yourself apart as a candidate for job opportunities in consulting, law, civil service and government, policy analysis, journalism and communications, education, community service and organizing, and nongovernmental and nonprofit organizations.
