Secondary Education, Minor

School of Education

Program Overview

When you minor in secondary education, you will explore pedagogical techniques from the craft and science of teaching while you major in the field in which you plan to teach. You’ll learn how best to transmit your knowledge to students and discover techniques to engage those who may be reluctant about learning. Your teaching could ignite their ambitions, as they find themselves drawn to a particular subject. A minor in secondary education enables you to take many of the prerequisite courses for a master’s degree program in secondary education.
