The stop on the tour highlighted the ongoing work Britt is doing with the Center for the Study of Brooklyn and the community group Brooklyn Level Up. The center is a hub of Brooklyn-based interdisciplinary research, experiential and community-based learning, and nonprofit internships that advance the understanding of Brooklyn’s critical and cultural issues for the public good.

The visit showcased the ecosystem of East Flatbush community-based organizations, small businesses, and residents committed to community resilience, environmental justice, community land trust building, cultural heritage preservation, and small business support.
