Brooklyn College is proud to announce that Katryna Alexis and Lina Mazioui, students in the Macaulay Honors College, have been selected as this year’s J.K. Watson Fellowship recipients. Katryna Alexis Lina Mazioui The J.K. Watson Fellowship is a prestigious three-year program that provides exceptional undergraduates from 12 New York City colleges with fully funded summer internships, dedicated mentorship, and unparalleled professional development opportunities. Fellows gain hands-on experience at top nonprofit, corporate, and government organizations while receiving personalized guidance to hone their leadership skills and commitment to public service. Alexis, majoring in childhood education (grades 1–6) with a concentration in theater, and Mazioui, a history major, stood out among a competitive field of applicants for their academic excellence, leadership potential, and dedication to making a difference. They are both part of the Class of 2027.
