Brooklyn College has earned a STARS Silver rating in recognition of its sustainability achievements from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE). STARS (Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System) is a voluntary self-reporting framework for colleges and universities to gauge progress toward sustainability and be acknowledged for sustainability leadership. Over 900 institutions from more than 40 countries participate in STARS on achievements in 5 areas: Academics, Engagement, Operations, Planning and Administration, and Innovation and Leadership.
