Usman Chohan, a senior in the Journalism and Media Studies program in the Department of Television, Radio, and Emerging Media, had his short documentary Slice of Goodness selected to screen at the DOC NYC film festival on November 16 at 1 p.m. at the Village East by Angelika cinema. The film, produced through Professor Irina Patkanian‘s Video Storytelling course (TREM 4728), profiles Hakki Akdeniz, an immigrant from Turkey who went from rags to riches with his passion for making pizza for New Yorkers. Chohan was born and reared in Queens to a Pakistani father and a Colombian mother. He currently works as a freelance news videographer and aspires to be an on-air television reporter.
