Brooklyn College welcomed the largest new group of faculty in recent memory to campus on August 23, as 30 professors and lecturers attended an official welcoming day.
The new faculty were treated to a packed day of orientation activities led by James T. Eaton, Associate Dean for Faculty and Administration, Office of the Provost. In addition to meeting each other, the new faculty were introduced to dozens of staff, administrators, and fellow faculty who will support them and their students throughout their careers at the college. Presenters came from across the campus, including offices and programs within Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Human Resources, and Enrollment Management.
To close out the day, the group enjoyed a visit with Brooklyn College President Michelle J. Anderson at her home.
“We are thrilled to have such a large and rich group of talented faculty members joining Brooklyn College for the fall semester,” said President Anderson. “I know their skills and expertise will complement the stellar group of educators we have throughout our campus.”
