Greek Life

The Brooklyn College community strives to provide a safe and invigorating environment for students. The college boasts a variety of extracurricular activities and organizations designed to enhance and enrich the college experience and academic quest of our students. Such organizations that are open to students are fraternities and sororities, otherwise know as Greek Life.

The Greek Council ensures the enhancement of the campus community and promotes friendship and collaboration among the fraternities and sororities. The Greek Council Office is located in 303 Student Center.

Philanthropy and Community Service

Every Greek organization has one or more charities with which they are affiliated. One of the benefits of being a part of Greek Life is the strong passion and love for giving back. Membership in a fraternity or sorority opens the doors to opportunities to provide volunteer and charitable services. Such services include raising money through bake sales, clothing drives, and many other charitable events. Community service projects not only promote personal growth and stronger relationships among members, it ultimately positively affects the communities on and off campus.
