A staff of psychologists, counselors, and social workers are available to assist you with personal issues or problems you may experience during your academic years.
Personal counseling is available to Brooklyn College undergraduate and graduate students. A staff of psychologists, counselors, and social workers are available to assist you with personal issues or problems you may experience during your academic years. Emergency consultations and referrals to outside services are also provided. Workshops are offered on stress management, time management, test anxiety, etc.
All services are free and confidential. No information is released without consent of the student. Initial appointments for services must be made in person.

The Personal Counseling Program primarily serves Brooklyn College students, staff, and faculty.
We may be able to offer some general and referral information to other members of the local community. Indicate your college affiliation in your message when you e-mail us.
Note: While we attempt to respond to e-mail messages as promptly as possible, you may not receive a reply for several days. (No replies are made on weekends and holidays, for example.) We regret that, because of the volume of messages, we cannot reply to every e-mail from those who are not affiliated with the college. Keep in mind that e-mail, while reasonably secure, is not considered to be absolutely secure and confidential. Unless encrypted, there is some risk of interception during transmission on the Internet. Use an e-mail account and content that do not identify you personally. You may prefer to call, fax, or come in person if you wish to communicate about details that you want to keep absolutely confidential.

Personal Counseling is located in 0203 James Hall (lower level), on the southwest corner of Bedford Avenue and Campus Road. Check in at a security booth for a visitor ID pass.
