Early Childhood Center Application Form

Applications Accepted Year-Round

  • Use a separate application for each child.
  • Parent / legal guardian must be a matriculated student of Brooklyn College.
  • UPK is open to Brooklyn College student parents and non–Brooklyn College student parents.
  • Brooklyn College staff and faculty may also apply.

Admission

  • Priority registration will be given to children of full-time undergraduate students maintaining 12 credits or graduate students maintaining six credits.
    Verification of enrollment status will be conducted each semester in conjunction with the Office of the Registrar for all Brooklyn College students.
  • Staff / faculty enrollment will be determined as per CUNY policy.

Hours of Operation

Infants–Threes

  • Mondays–Fridays: 8:30 a.m.–3 p.m. (fees apply)
  • Extended hours, Mondays–Fridays: 3–4:30 p.m. (fees apply)

Universal Pre-K

  • Mondays–Fridays: 8:30 a.m.–3 p.m. (no fees apply)
  • Extended hours, Mondays–Fridays: 3–4:30 p.m. (fees apply)

Tuition

  • $125 nonrefundable annual registration fee.
  • Tuition is based on family income (this includes both parents / legal guardians) as reported in the original IRS Transcripts for the previous year. IRS Transcripts can be obtained by calling 800.908.9946 or visiting the IRS website.
  • Grant eligibility will be determined based on grant requirements.

Billing

  • The student’s tuition is billed by the semester (fall, spring, summer).
  • Staff, faculty, and community are billed for 11 months in 11 installments.

Be advised that Brooklyn College students who drop and/or withdraw from classes will be responsible for the market rate. If the student is not able to pay the market rate, his or her child will no longer be eligible to remain in the program.
