The Immigrant Student Success Office (ISSO) believes that student success begins with well-being. To help students thrive academically, personally, and emotionally, ISSO connects students to a range of tools they need to navigate the challenges and uncertainties of their academic journey.
Through a close collaboration with the Personal Counseling Office, ISSO offers a range of mental health and wellness services tailored to the needs of our students.
Students have access to individual counseling sessions with trained professionals who provide personalized guidance and support. These sessions offer a confidential space to address challenges, develop coping strategies, and build resilience.

We understand that the pressures of college life, combined with the unique challenges faced by immigrant and undocumented students, can feel overwhelming. Our wellness initiatives focus on empowering students with techniques and strategies to build resilience and maintain emotional balance. By addressing mental health holistically, we aim to create a safe, supportive space where students can explore ways to manage stress, enhance focus, and find inner peace amid life’s uncertainties.
The wellness programs are here to help you:
Our mental health and holistic wellness programs are designed to do more than just address immediate concerns—they aim to foster a campus culture where well-being is prioritized. By integrating wellness into the academic experience, ISSO helps students develop lifelong skills to manage stress, maintain balance, and build a strong foundation for future success.
Research shows that mental health and physical wellness are essential for academic performance, personal growth, and overall happiness. At ISSO, we view wellness as a critical pillar of student success, ensuring that every student feels supported as they pursue their goals.
