2025 International Women’s Day Conference
March 6 @ 9:00 am - 3:30 pm

Join us as we commemorate International Women’s Day 2025 with a daylong conference. Our theme this year is “Shaping the Future: Women Transcending Differences and Redefining Power.”
Invited guests come together with students, staff, faculty, and members of the larger community to contemplate the crucial issues impacting the lives of women and girls, people of color, indigenous peoples, the immigrant community, the LGBTQ+ community, and all who are being pushed to the margins.
The opening panel, 9:30–10:45 a.m., will include Ninaj Raoul, director, Haitian Women for Haitian Refugees; Stacey Toussaint, Esq., founder, Inside Out Tours; and Kelly Spivey, director, LGBTQ+ Resource Center. It will be moderated by Professor of Political Science Mojúbàolú Olúfunké Okome. The keynote address, by Christian Nunes, president of the National Organization of Women (NOW), will follow from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
