AI Basics for Teaching: Getting Started

October 21 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Don’t know where to start with AI? Start right here!

This introductory workshop with Mariya Gluzman (Library, Philosophy) will start with a brief overview of generative AI, explaining how it works and the types of content it can produce. We will then explore popular, free AI tools and discuss their uses. Next, we’ll discuss how students can use and abuse this technology, as well as explore examples of how AI can be useful in teaching and learning. Finally, we’ll review CUNY’s AI policy and the challenges of enforcing it.
