De-Escalation of LGBTQIA+ Violence: Bystander Training

For Transgender Day of Visibility, we will be joined by New York City Anti-Violence Project (AVP) for this special training. AVP empowers lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and HIV-affected communities and allies to end all forms of violence through organizing and education, and supports survivors through counseling and advocacy. This training will assist participants with identifying the forms of violence transgender and gender nonconforming communities experience, which include but are not limited to hate violence, bullying, sexual violence, and intimate partner violence.
