Decarbonization/Green Career Panel

This event will feature esteemed panelists from diverse backgrounds within the sustainability or related sectors, offering insights and expertise to students interested in green careers. Our panelists include: Ryan Russo, principal at Together Projects and adjunct lecturer in urban planning at Hunter College (CUNY); Haym Gross, an architect with more than 30 years of experience and founding member of the NYC 2030 District, dedicated to urban sustainability; Ñawi K, Flores, steward of ancestral territories, carbon farming planner, and cofounder of Kinray Hub, an indigenous-led nonprofit fostering global cooperation for climate solutions; Debra Salomon, director of program development for renewable energy, clean tech, and building trades at City Tech (CUNY); and Nyleen Euton, green infrastructure grant program manager at the New York City Department of Environmental Protection.

This event is tailored for students from the School of Humanities and Social Sciences as well as the School of Natural and Behavioral Sciences, but all majors are welcome. It’s perfect for those in earth and environmental sciences, urban sustainability, geosciences, nutrition science, and related fields. Whether you’re exploring careers in green economies, social corporate responsibility, or sustainability-focused sectors, this event is for you.
