Reading by Dominican Poet Francis Mateo

Francis Mateo, a Dominican poet, actor, and activist who is now based in New York City will give a poetry reading. The event is timed to coincide with a class meeting of Professor Alejandro Alonso’s Spanish translation class. The poems will be read in Spanish, but the poet and the students are bilingual, and there will be some discussion of how to translate the poems into English.
