“Rustin” Film Screening and Discussion

Presented in collaboration with the LGBTQ+ Resource Center, the Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema will host a special screening of the new Netflix film Rustin, followed by a discussion with the film’s producer, Bruce Cohen, moderated by Feirstein School Executive Director Richard N. Gladstein.

Rustin tells the story of activist Bayard Rustin as he helps change the course of Civil Rights history by orchestrating the 1963 March on Washington.

Bruce Cohen is an Academy Award–winning, Emmy-nominated, and Olivier Award–winning producer of film, television, and theater. He won an Academy Award for Best Picture in 2000 for American Beauty and earned additional Best Picture nominations for Milk and Silver Linings Playbook.
