Jazz Trumpet Player Mandla Mlangeni to Perform as Part of CUNY Arts, Jazz at Lincoln Center Partnership

Celebrated South African jazz trumpet player Mandla Mlangeni shares his artistry and original compositions with students and alumni from jazz ensembles at Brooklyn College’s Conservatory of Music.

Mlangeni will not only speak about South African history and his family’s crucial role in ending apartheid, but he will also coach select students on South African jazz styles and perform his charts in collaboration with Brooklyn College’s jazz band own under the direction of Professor Ronnie Burrage.
