World AIDS Day

Join us on World AIDS Day for a special event with Distinguished Professor of Film Alexandra Juhasz, who will discuss the importance of preserving and revisiting archival tapes as a way to honor the history of AIDS activism. Juhasz has donated her unique VHS video collection to the Brooklyn College Library and has co-taught from it with graduate students from across CUNY. Her talk will emphasize the need to continue documenting and recording activism within today’s under-reported and under-documented communities. This event serves as both a reflection on the history of the AIDS crisis and an ongoing call to action for preserving activism.
