Campus Safety Advisory Committee

The safety of students, faculty, staff, and visitors is of critical importance at Brooklyn College. The committee is charged by law with reviewing current campus security policies and procedures, and with making regular recommendations for improvements to the college president.

New York State law, specifically NYS Education Law; Title 7 State and City Colleges and Universities Article 129-A; Section 6431, mandates Brooklyn College to maintain an Advisory Committee on Campus Security. This requirement compels campuses across New York State to appoint and support the operations of a campus advisory committee on security. The Brooklyn College Campus Safety Advisory Committee (CSAC) report is available upon request from the Office of Public Safety
