Research and Projects

As a part of its mission to contribute to the literature, GLARE faculty is engaged in ongoing research of several key LGBTQ issues in education, including:

  • LGBTQ bias and discrimination;
  • sexism, heterosexism, and the construction of gender;
  • the intersection of human sexuality and multiple identities;
  • LGBTQ issues for urban youth; and
  • the use of affective education in preparing future teachers and school professionals for inclusive practice in schools.
